GHOST TRANSACTION

Missingink - Ghost Transaction

We just looked up the transaction in question and it appears your order failed to process due to the fact that the billing address you entered at checkout did not match what your credit card company has on file for the card you were using.

If a transaction fails it's referred to as a "ghost transaction".  Your bank allocated funds to your Online account for your purchase.  Missingink did not transfer the funds allocated because the billing address entered at checkout did not match what your credit card company has on file for the card you were using. This AVS check is part of our fraud protection system.

You might want to check with your CC company and verify they have the right address for the card you were using.  The ghost transactions will simply disappear off your Online statement in a few days since we did not transfer any funds.

MY CARD WON'T PROCESS

Missingink - Trouble Processing Credit Card

There are two possible reasons why a transaction will not process.

1- Insufficient funds
2- Credit Card billing address match.

Our system requires the billing address entered at checkout must match exactly with what your credit card company has on file for the card you are using.  If the billing address you are entering at checkout does not match exactly the transaction will not process.  This feature is part of our Fraud Protection System. 

Please check with your bank and make sure they have the address you are entering on file for the card you are using.

PAYPAL DID NOT PROCESS

Missingink - Your Order Did Not Process

We just looked up your order and the transaction never fully processed.  You were attempting to pay with PayPal and did not complete the checkout process. Let me explain.

Once you fill out the shipping and billing info on the checkout page you click on the "Review Order" link at the bottom of the page.  This redirects you to PayPal where you approve the funds needed for the transaction.  Once you have agreed to make payment the PayPal system redirects you back to our store where you can review your order and click the "SUBMIT" button and complete the transaction. 

It appears you did not click the submit button and the funds were never transferred from your PayPal account "or" the communication between PayPal and the Missingink Store did not complete transmission.

Since we have no way to finish this transaction you will need to place your order again.  Once you click the Submit button you will land on a conformation page conforming the order did process successfully.

Any digital files purchased in the store reside in your store account.  Just go back to XXXXX store and click on the "Manage Your Account" link at the bottom of the store page.  Here you can login to your account and download your files. You can download the files as many times as you like for 1 full year.

If you don't have your account password you can have a one time use password e-mailed to you by clicking on the Forgot Password link on the login page. Once you have logged in using this password you can update your password to whatever you like.

WHERE DID MY DOWNLOADS GO

Missingink - Digital Downloads

It very well may be that the songs have not actually been downloaded yet.  The e-mail you are sent when you placed your order with links to the downloads only allows the songs to be downloaded once.  Then the links are no longer valid.  This was designed this way so people cannot buy digital content and then e-mail the links to all their friends and pass the music around for free.  If your internet connection was interrupted after you clicked on the links in the e-mail with the one time download link the songs may have never made it to your computer.

Your computer would either be set up to download and import music into a program like iTunes or they may just be going into a folder you have designated for downloads to be placed into.  No way for us to know the answer to that questions since you would control these preference settings on your personal computer.

The good news is any digital files purchased in the store reside in your store account.  Just go back to XXXXXXXXX store and click on the "Manage Your Account" link at the bottom of the store page.  Here you can login to your account and download your files. You can download the files as many times as you like for 1 full year.

TROUBLE CHECKING OUT

Missingink - Issues Checking Out

I just checked the Online store page and everything seems to be working as it should. Here are a couple of things that may resolve the issue.

1 - Quit your web browser and open the browser program again. Go back to the Online Store and refresh the page and begin shopping again.
2 - When checking out make sure your billing address matches exactly with what your credit card company has on file for your card. If it does not match exactly the order will not process.
3- After filling out all of the info required on the "Checkout" page you must click on the "Review Order" button at the bottom of the checkout page. This will open the final page of the checkout process where you will confirm all of your order info. Click the "Submit" button and your order will be processed and a conformation page will be displayed with your order number.

If you have any further problems please respond with any error messages you might be seeing or specific details of what is happening. We are here to help!

Checkout Page Keeps Reloading

Sorry you are having a problem. Let me see if we can help.

Once you add the item to your cart and click "Checkout" you are taken to the checkout page where you fill in your shipping address, billing address and credit card info.

Once everything is filled in go to the bottom of the checkout page and click on the  "Review Order" button. 

If you click the "Review Order" button and the page comes up again where you fill in your shipping address, billing address and credit card info there will be an error message on the screen telling you what information the system is having a problem with. Make those adjustments to your shipping address, billing address or credit card info and click "Review Order" again.

Paying with a Credit Card:  Once your order information is filled in correctly and you click the "Review Order" button you will land on a page that allows you to check your order info one last time.  If everything looks good then go to the bottom of the page and click the "Submit" button to finalize your order.

Paying with PayPal: Once your order information is filled in correctly and you click the "Review Order" button you will be redirected to your PayPal account where you approve the funds needed for the transaction.  Once you have agreed to make payment the PayPal system redirects you back to our store where you can review your order one last time and click the "SUBMIT" button and complete the transaction.

WILL YOU TAKE A MONEY ORDER?

We only take orders placed through the online store interface.  We accept all 4 major credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER & AMERICAN EXPRESS) and PayPal.  Some gift cards will work and some do not.  Our  system checks for a valid billing address for any card entered into our system.  Since gift cards do not have billing address sometimes that can be a problem. This billing address check is part of our fraud protection interface.

Missingink's system is tied into the USPS and UPS shipping rate calculation databases. When you select a shipping method on the checkout page it is displaying rates and estimated shipping timelines fed to our system from the USPS and UPS. We are not providing these delivery timelines they are all coming directly from the USPS which we have no control over.

The USPS displays estimates on how fast Priority Mail can be delivered but the USPS does not "Guarantee" that timeline. The only method of shipping that guarantees delivery in the amount of days provided is UPS. (ie. Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3-Day Select)

All custom framed items are assembled as they are ordered.  Depending on how many framed items are in production at the time your order was placed it can take anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks to be shipped to you. All custom framed items ship out of New Jersey. 

If any other items were purchased in the same transaction with the custom framed item they will ship immedietly from our warehouse is White House TN. You will be advised when the custom framed item ships from New Jersey.

We have launched a new store interface that is deployed by utilizing a simple cut-and-paste script allowing you to embed your store directly on your (or any) site. This new update allows for a custom install merging the Missingink store with your current site design.  The new reactive mobile ready design makes shopping on an iPhone or iPad more user friendly as well.

UPLOADING FILES TO THE STORE SERVER

Missingink - Uploading Digital Content For Store Sales

Here's the info on uploading digital files to the store server.

If you're not familiar with uploading files to a server you will need an FTP program like Fetch, Transmit or CyberDuck to upload your files. You can download CyberDuck for mac or Windows for free at this link. http://cyberduck.ch/

Files need to be uploaded to the server in MP3 format.

In general single tracks don't sell as well as full album downloads however a lot of our clients set up single track downloads because it allows the customer to listen to a 30 second sample clip.  If you don't set up single tracks the system will not display sample clips of the music.

As outlined in our store agreement Missingink charges a $25 fee per album to set up a digital item.  However if you only want to sell a full album downlaod then we would not charge the $25 fee since setting up single tracks is the time consuming part of this process.

If you only want to sell full albums you could upload the album in a "zipped" folder since we would not need the tracks uncompressed to set up single tracks.  Then a full album purchase could be downloaded in one click.  

If you do want to sell single tracks you need to upload the files in an "unzipped" folder.  We need files to be "uncompressed" to sell as single tracks.

If you decide to sell both a full album downlaod and single track downloads you need to upload an "unzipped" folder and a "zipped" folder for the same album. This allows us to setup single tracks and still allow the customer to download a full album purchase with one click.

SETTING UP A PRE-SALE

If you are wanting to "Pre-Sell" the CD we would need the following info to do so.

4- Release Date
5- Any digital content you want to allow the customers to download at checkout when pre-ordering?

Once the pre-sale is over we can start selling digital. We need the music in MP3 format.

SETTING UP COUPON CODES

Missingink - Setting up Coupon Codes

We would be happy to set up a coupon code for you.

This is what we need to know to set up your coupon code.

1- What do you want the coupon code to be named? (The coupon code itself can be any combination of letters and numbers. Max 25 characters.)
2- When do you want the coupon code to expire?
3- Discount type? (Coupons can be set to a dollar amount or a percentage off)
4- Minimum order limit? (Coupons can be set to require no order limit or require a dollar amount to be reached for the coupon to be applied. Example: Use coupon code 5OFF and take $5 off any purchase of $20 or more)
5- Maximum Number of Redemptions (Total)? (Most of the time this is set to allow an unlimited amount of redemptions but we can limit how many coupons can be redeemed if you wanted to run some sort of special promotion. Example: Limited time offer. The first 500 customers can take $5 off any purchase using coupon code 5OFF at checkout.)
6- Maximum Number of Redemptions (Per User)? (Most of the time this is set to allow an unlimited amount of redemptions per user however we can limit the amount of times each user can redeem a specific coupon code.)
7- What items will the coupon code be applied to? (We can allow the coupon code to be applied to any combination of products in your store. A code can be used to promote one specific item, all products or any combination in between.)

Once we know the answer to these questions we can set up your coupon code.

The credit card we have on file did not process when we tried to apply the $9.95 monthly Online Store fee.  Can you please login to your store account and update your credit card info so this fee can be processed?

Our system will attempt to process the $9.95 fee again on the 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th of each month until it processes successfully. If your credit card info is not updated by the end of the month our system will automatically suspend the store interface.

Do you have merch ready to send us or do you need help with merch supply as well?

If you have merch ready to send us just fill out the attached inventory sheet and include it with every merch shipment you send us. This form provides the info we need to add items to your store. Our shipping address is provided on this form as well.

There are 3 ways to deploy a Missingink store.

• Missingink Hosted Store
Your store, hosted at missinginkshop.com. We'll customize the store header and colors to match your current site, (sorry, advanced design customizations are not available at this level ). Once that happens, we'll send you a link, that you can add to your website, social pages, and more, which links to your store at Missingink.

• Wordpress Plugin
Have a site built in Wordpress? If so, we have a plugin that integrates the store directly into your site and gives you total control of your store’s appearance. It's as easy as installing our plugin and setting a couple of options - no developer experience required!

• API
Missingink provides a full service API for developers looking to create robust, full-featured, custom solutions. If you would like more information, or have specific programming questions concerning our API, please contact our tech team at [email protected]

Missingink works with each client like a partner providing top quality merchandise and managing the artists official online store. Missingink provides services a'la carte so you can utilize one or all of the services we provide.
ONLINE STORES:

Our store deal is pretty simple. Here's how it works.

Store fees are $9.95 per month + a 20% fulfillment commission. That's it. No length of agreement leave anytime you like.

We manage all aspects of the online store. We handle all customer care as well as pick pack and ship. We accept all 4 major credit cards and PayPal as payment methods. You do nothing but wait for a direct deposit payment to land in your bank account for the past months sales.

Our stores can sell hard goods, digital downloads and bundles.

Our stores can create coupon codes for marketing.

Our store admin offers sales, stock and product reports. Your customer list can be downloaded with one click in EXCEL format as well.

We deploy stores by utilizing simple cut-and-paste script ​​allowing you to embed your store directly on your (or any) site. This makes the store easily theme-able by your web developer at the time of site build.

Currently, we have stores running on both WordPress and SquareSpace, although our system is built to, and will work on any site that you can paste a script into. As we come across different, new environments, we're more than happy to work with you or your developer to integrate your store.

Missingink is a full service merch supply company. We provide domestic and overseas production for screen printed and embroidered apparel as well as hard goods like coffee mugs, koozies etc. Every item is quoted based on product style, design and quantity to be ordered. If you have a design, product style and quantity you're looking for we would be happy to issue a quote. If you need help with design we have an in house art department with over 25 years experience designing graphics for application to textiles.

USER EXPORT FEATURE
Missingink - User Export

Once logged into the admin click on the "PEOPLE" link off to the left hand side.  
Then click on EXPORT USERS.
then check the box next to CUSTOMERS and the window will expand
then check the box next to SEARCH CUSTOMERS and the window will expand again
Type in an order Start Date
Type in an order End Date
Then select the item from the pull down menu.
Click submit and the CSV file will download to your computer.  This can be opened in EXCEL or any text edit program.

HOW COUPON CODES WORK
Missingink - Coupon Codes

Coupon codes are a way for manufactures to offer promotions for their products. Companies that distribute products for the manufacturer receive their normal commission rate regardless of what the manufacturer decides to discount their products for.

Example: If you have a coupon from Frito Lay for $1 off a bag Fritos you can go to Kroger and redeem your $1 off coupon for your bag of Fritos. Kroger then gets reimbursed by Frito Lay for the $1 off coupon that was redeemed. In essence our system works exactly the same way.

Missingink is your distributor. We are not involved in the conversation that decides how much coupon codes are created for and how long they will run. You (the manufacturer) make those decisions. If you decide to create a coupon code to promote you products we’re happy to give you the tools to do so. However we still need our normal profit margins to cover the cost of managing the fulfillment, warehousing and customer service aspects. Past history has proven that when promotions are in effect Missingink receives more customer service calls and e-mails with questions related to promotions so in reality our work load increases to support you promotion. It costs us the same to pick, pack and ship a tee at full price as it does if it’s sold at 50% off with a coupon code.

As an alternative to the coupon code we do offer the ability to “slash” pricing. In theory the slash price feature was created to assist our clients in liquidating discontinued products. If you have an item that has lived in the store for some time and is just not moving we can slash the price and are happy to fulfill at a reduced rate to assist with the liquidation process. But slash pricing was not designed to be a promotion feature.

Again the issue concerning coupon codes has always been a part of our agreement. We clearly outline how this works in an effort to be up front about the coupon code compensation so everyone understands how coupons work before they sign the agreement.
